The University of Exeter has joined the University-Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP), a global initiative aimed at enhancing collaboration between academia and industry.

This membership allows the University to connect with a prestigious network of leading academic institutions and prominent companies, all committed to addressing critical challenges in research, workforce development, and economic engagement.

As a member, the University gains access to valuable resources and networking events that will foster partnerships and create new opportunities for innovation and growth.

The UIDP focuses on developing practical solutions that support the University’s goal of building strong, lasting partnerships with various industries. These collaborations are designed to benefit both the University and the businesses involved, promoting sustainability and mutual growth.

Chris Evans, Director of Exeter Innovation at the University of Exeter, said: “Joining the UIDP community strengthens the University’s mission to promote innovative, impactful collaborations with industry. This partnership will help us build stronger connections, expand opportunities for our academics, and leverage UIDP’s extensive network to develop solutions that benefit our entire community.

“Together, we are advancing Exeter’s goal of becoming a global leader in research and innovation.”

Through its involvement in UIDP initiatives, Exeter aims to enhance its research environment, expand its research and development capabilities, and create new pathways for workforce development.
