How do we make sense of elections in a rapidly changing political landscape? And what can moments like Brexit, the Scottish independence referendum, and the rise of nationalist parties tell us about Britain today?
Dr Hannah Bunting, Senior Lecturer in Quantitative British Politics and Co-Director of The Elections Centre, shares how her work helps explain and contextualise elections. She provides trusted data on local results and boundary changes to national media, including Sky News, BBC, and ITV, while also collaborating with external partners to make sense of shifting political trends.
In this video, Hannah reflects on her journey of knowledge exchange. With the support of University of Exeter programmes such as the Knowledge Exchange Accelerator and innovation fellowships, she has gained the confidence to shape her research for wider audiences and to build stronger partnerships with industry and public institutions.
