Help to Grow alumni explore leadership and AI adoption in Cornwall

Ruth Cherrington, Constantine Manolchev and Marco Campenni from the University of Exeter Business School in Penryn hosted an event in July for alumni of the national Help to Grow: Management programme, which was delivered in Cornwall earlier this year.

The event was designed to equip regional SMEs for change ahead, specifically addressing challenges around leadership and AI adoption.

University of Exeter student Scarlett Cherry Whitthread also delivered a workshop showing participants how they could use AI within their businesses, showcasing the talent within the University’s student community.

The University of Exeter is the only provider of Help to Grow: Management in Devon and Cornwall. The programme is 90% government funded for eligible businesses, with more than 10,000 businesses having completed the programme nationally.

Constantine Manolchev also contributes to the programme curriculum, delivering Module 2 on Digital Transformation.

Lindsey Axten, Co-Founder at Buzz Interactive and an alumna of the Help to Grow: Management programme, said:

“The morning was very informative with three sessions around AI from its origins, constant evolution and practical use today, delivered engagingly by Constantine Manolchev, Scarlett Cherry Whitthread and Marco Campenni.

“It was good to work through ideas and relate them to our own organisations with the other business leaders in the room.”
